1. Overview

Checkr is a legal document analysis application that helps users understand contracts, leases, terms of service, and other legal documents. The app uses AI to analyze documents, provide risk assessments, and answer follow-up questions about document content.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Checkr. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Accounts

You may use Checkr as a guest without creating an account. However, creating an account allows you to save your analysis history and continue conversations across devices.
If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Free Tier and Usage Limits

Free users receive 3 document scans per calendar month.
Usage limits reset at the beginning of each calendar month.
One-off additional scans may be purchased without a subscription.

5. Premium Subscription

5.1 Subscription Service

Checkr offers an optional premium subscription service ("Checkr Pro") that provides access to additional features and unlimited document analysis.

5.2 Subscription Plans and Pricing

We offer the following auto-renewable subscription options:

Monthly Subscription: Renews every month at the current monthly subscription price
Annual Subscription: Renews every year at the current annual subscription price

Prices are displayed in the app before purchase and are charged to your Apple ID account.

5.3 Subscription Features

Premium subscription includes:

Unlimited document scans
PDF upload and parsing
Full analysis history
Export reports to PDF
Priority processing
All premium features for the duration of your active subscription

5.4 Payment and Billing

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store Account Settings after purchase
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

5.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the current billing period
No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a subscription period

5.6 Changes to Subscription

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect your current subscription period and will take effect at the start of your next billing period after notice is provided.

6. Document Analysis Disclaimer

Checkr uses artificial intelligence to analyze documents and provide insights.
Analysis results are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal advice.
The accuracy of analysis depends on document quality and complexity.
We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any analysis.
Always consult with a qualified attorney for legal decisions.

7. User Conduct

By using Checkr, you agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful or harmful purposes.
Upload documents containing illegal content.
Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the App.
Interfere with the App's functionality or security.
Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

8. Intellectual Property

We retain all intellectual property rights in Checkr, including but not limited to software, algorithms, AI models, and all other materials provided through the App.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may also terminate your account at any time.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Checkr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm resulting from your use of the App or reliance on any analysis provided.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
