Help and FAQ
Common questions about using Checkr, managing your account, and handling subscriptions.
What does Checkr do?
Checkr analyzes legal and policy documents in plain English so you can quickly understand key risks, unclear clauses, and practical takeaways.
Does Checkr replace a lawyer?
No. Checkr is an informational tool and does not provide legal advice. For legal decisions or high-stakes documents, you should consult a qualified lawyer.
What documents can I use with Checkr?
You can use Checkr for contracts, leases, terms of service, privacy policies, and other text-based legal or policy documents supported by the app.
Do I need an account to use the app?
Yes. Checkr requires an account so scans, subscriptions, purchase restoration, and saved activity are tied to your profile.
How do subscriptions and purchases work?
Checkr offers a Pro subscription for broader access and may offer one-off purchase options inside the app. Subscription billing and management are handled through your device app store account.
How do I restore purchases?
Open the app Settings page and use Restore Purchases while signed in to the account you want associated with those purchases.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings, depending on the device you used to subscribe.
How do I delete my account?
Open Profile in the app and use Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and app data, while retaining limited billing records needed for support and restore purposes.
How does Checkr handle my data?
We use your data to provide the app experience, including document analysis, account access, and purchase restoration. For the full details, review our Privacy Policy.
